The morning of March 22nd offered a nice surprise in the shape of a new teaser from Nell. A two minute long comeback trailer came out already in January and fans now have another two minutes worth of video to watch in anticipation of the release of the band’s seventh full-length album. The teaser in question announced Slip Away–‘a three part excerpt’ of videos showing album preparations in both Seoul and New York. The episodes will be released every Monday starting from March 26th until the “special version” is released on April 16th.
Nell have recorded their album in Korea, using different studios for different instrument to ensure best possible quality and sound. The New York part of album preparations led them to the legendary Avatar Studios and the album mastering is done by John Davis in London.
However before the album is released, Nell are scheduled to hold comeback concerts, The Lines, on April 14th and 15th. It’ll be the band’s first proper concerts since 2008, as leader and vocalist Kim Jong Wan has been away for military service, and fans have been promised both new songs and old hits for the occasion. An actual album release date has yet to be revealed.
Shortly after Kim Jong Wan left the military the band made a much appreciated appearance at GMF2011. While awaiting the band’s official return, this flash site from Naesori offers a generous amount of video material from that event.
