Korean indie music in The Korea Herald

Via Korea Gig Guide I came across something interesting in The Korea Herald: Indie music makes a comeback. For the lengthy article, the reporter has had a closer look at Goonamguayeoridingstella, Trampauline, Hahn Vad (Amature Amplifier/Stretching Journey) and cheezstereo, while also talking to Pastel Music, boonga Boonga Record and Hyang Music.

And since it mentioned cheezstereo, I figured this might be a good a time as any to let you in on the awesomeness that is Oh Yeah (from the single with the same name), in case you didn’t figure it out yourself already. Though I first heard it in September, it still pops up in my head every now and then, primarily in situations where an “Oh Yeah” could be considered somewhat appropriate. Click the song title for a brief wma sample (or purchase the whole thing through iTunes) in case you feel like adding a new mood boosting tune to your own personal soundtrack today.
