Heading back to something more rock oriented after a quick break for soul and rap we continue to learn more on the bands auditioning to become one of the 2012 Ssamzie Sound Festival’s Hidden Masters. Swindlers


Inspired by Sex Pistols, Ramones and Blue Hearts, punk rock band Swindlers formed in 2008. First EP The Cheat was released in 2010 and a digital single followed the next year. Swindlers are playing in Hongdae whenever they can on their quest to become punk rock super stars. Facebook.

The Peace Market


“New hybrid emo-punkcore band” The Peace Market emerged in 2011 and have mostly been playing around Daegu and Ulsan. They released their first digital single Rain Coat in May this year.

Patients

Hybrid punk trio Patients have been around with the current lineup for a few years, releasing first full-length album Kitsch Punk last year. The band auditioned for Top Band 2 where they were eliminated in favor of Ironic Hue during the Triple Tournaments. Patients are playing regularly around Hongdae and are working on new songs for a second album. Facebook.

Last Of The Diehards


Oldschool metal hardcore band Last Of The Diehards take their name from a Terror song. The band formed late in 2009 and released first demo album Rising in August last year. Last Of The Diehards are hoping to release their first official full-length during the first half of 2013, offering a more mature sound and better quality than what they’ve were able to show with the demo. Igniter


Metalcore band Igniter formed as a trio in 2011 and was soon joined by a bassist and an additional guitarist. Although they haven’t been playing together for long the members are said to have long experience from other bands.
