In 2007, electronica duo Fortune Cookie went on a trip with some people from art group Danger Museum to produce an album together. The result, Art of Cheese, is a vinyl EP “produced around ambient and musical recording during travels to Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, Brazil.”
Supposedly the album launched in January as part of the Multiple Choices: All of The Above exhibition at Oslo Kunstforening – I wish I had known sooner! Anyway, the LP was released to stores on November 3 and will again be exhibited along with the Rio porcelain decor of Danger Museum at Tou Scene in Stavanger, Norway. The name of the exhibition is Danger Museum Rio and it’ll be there November 7-23.
Three of the Art of Cheese songs can be sampled from Fortune Cookie’s MySpace: Lost in Salvador, Pink Porpoise and Bufferfly. If you’re not in Norway or Korea then, how do you get a copy? Danger Museum has a list of stores that offer it though not all of them offer international deliveries. I haven’t gone through the entire list, but I think I’m gonna try Tiger (if your Norwegian fails you, click the British flag to change to English).
