Finally up to speed, on the indie charts at least. Did anyone else notice that neither Broccoli, you too? nor Jang Kiha & The Faces have made an appearance in the top 10 during the last few weeks? Wonder whether it’ll stay that way, or if any of the two will make a surprise appearance with those old songs again before new material is out.

Major baseball fan Moonlight Nymph had his 3.5, 전투형 달빛요정 – Prototype A, released on March 3. His mature modern rock sound seems far more popular than I had imagined, with half of the songs from the EP making it to the chart in a couple of days time. Two songs on the new EP are new versions of third full length album Goodbye Aluminum tracks: 치킨런 in a sad version, and 고기반찬 in a rock version.
Two and a half years after debuting with EP Ready To Jump Around, rock band Gogoboys had it followed by a new EP by the name of Go Go Play The Music on March 5. Four new tracks combining rock’n’roll rhythm with a retro garage sound (as per the liner notes) awaits you if you decide to check it out.
More rock’n’roll! For reasons unknown to me, Oh! Brothers’ tribute to Japanese movie Hula Girls has now made it to Bugs’ indie chart for the first time. Released in February 2007, the digital single To You Sweetheart Aloha contains their take on the song written Harry Owens going by the same name.
Moonlight Nymph’s first album, Infield Fly, was first released in 2003 but soon went out of print. Although re-released a year later, it appears to once again be unavailable in the CD format.
