Once known as Lonely Planet Boy, the new wave punk duo now known as TV Yellow will have their debut album, Strange Ears, released on February 9 but it has already been available online since January 28. A couple of titles can be recognized from the LP Boy days with both Days In Vain and 꽃 (previously on 2005 single My Pleasure Is Yours) on the tracklist, but whether there are also any traces from 2004 three track single Locked In A Room I have not been able to determine. A number of familiar artists appear to have participated in the recordings of this new album, there among Galaxy Express guitarist Park Jong Hyun, Yong Won (of Gumx fame), Whiru, and Heo.

January 29 “crossover modern rock band” ZY released a digital single called Gotta Let’Cha. In addition to their usual fusion of modern rock (although they seem to prefer the term brit pop) and gayagum play, this time they’ve added a bit of underground hiphop to the mix. The new release introduces two new titles, both also available in original versions without the rap.

분명 너의 소리였는데 is the first digital single from female singer/songwriter Hwang Eun Ji. The self-produced three track release has been out since yesterday, February 3.
