The winners of GMF2009 Awards – where mintpaper members and staff could vote for best artist overall, best rookie, best performance, best moment and best overseas artist – have been announced. Violet Sweets has the full list.

Apparently I missed out on just about all of the best things this year, but I must admit that few of the winning names have any appeal to me… I did get to see grand winner TUNE (who posted the music video for Freedom on his blog a couple of days ago) do pretty well both days. And I’m very happy to find female fronted pop/rock band Dryflower, that made a strong performance first of all during the Sunday, among the rookie winners.
