Glittering Blackness , Fall

It was only yesterday that I said I knew of no proper Korean post-rock bands, but after surfing MySpace I know better. At the very least there is Glittering Blackness , Fall (I knew I had found what I’d been looking for as soon as I saw the name). Though I’m not all certain that is what they would call themselves since they describe their music as “Experimental / Ambient”. Six members in total of which two are guitarists – just as it should be.

Anyhow, if you visit MySpace you should most definitely have a listen to immense pale halo slipping. And don’t miss the other song, Feeding Leaves Yield, while there either – that’s some action right away for those of you that find post-rock tedious.

For a whole bunch of reasons Glittering Blackness , Fall remind me of Sweden’s pg.lost, and it’s not just their early sound. I’m equally enthusiastic about this discovery, and it seems the visual part is important to them too as they list someone responsible for “motion graphic” among the band members – that does so much when building up that totally enthralling sensation you can get while experiencing good instrumental music live. Hopefully they’ll do just as well once they get a little more material recorded. Look forward to an interview with them once they have released something!

Wow!! I’m impressed :) GREAT FIND and I love the tracks on their MySpace page. I’m really craving more :P I really like the progression on “immense pale halo slipping” and it’s simply beautiful. It builds up softly with more elements and complexity before finally letting loose.

With bands like Mogwai and Godspeed You! Black Emperor on their top friends list, they must be good :)

Plus, there from Daegu!! very cool, hehe ^^
