Seems like Top Band is finally making a bit of an impact on the charts at Bugs as well (or the classification just changed…). I have yet to start posting more of my write-ups covering the show in question, but promise to get to the related releases when I do.

Berklee graduate and jazz saxophonist Son Sung-jae released his first solo album, Repertoire & Memoir in 2006 and after a couple of albums more 비의 비가 (悲歌) (Elegy Of Rain) was released on September 5. This time there’s more of a pop feeling to his music and it looks like bringing in a lot of featured artists was the way to achieve this. Reminding of the album before this, CCM and jazz combo Em Seu Proprio Tempo (In His Time), CCM songstress Kim Ji Hye has helped out, but we also see both Joe Won Sun and Lee Sang Soon of Roller Coaster fame featured on various tracks, as well as multi-instrumentalist Hareem and a number of other names.
