From a Korean reader I learned that the Sogyumo Acacia Band documentary mentioned previously got its cinematic release this week, January 14. Depicting the duo and the impact of Yozoh, Sogyumo Acacia Band’s Story (소규모아카시아밴드 이야기) follows Eunjie Song and Minhong through a year. Watch the trailer here.
And in related news I don’t think I’ve shared previously, there are far advanced plans for a new Sogyumo album. Recordings were almost finished when the new drummer decided to leave (yes – for 8 months or so they were actually a trio!) which caused a bit of problems. So although it was planned to come out sometime during autumn 2009, we’ll have to wait another while to hear the new songs.
