PEACE is here!

MAP isn’t all the international music downloads Indieful ROK has to offer you today. Remember Amnesty International/Buffetlibre project PEACE? Somewhat delayed it has finally been launched which means that starting from €5 you can get 180 new songs (and bios) from artists worldwide while supporting a good cause. Preview the songs and give your donation here!

So far I’ve only had a listen to the songs on the list with mp3s I could pick to post and a few favorite names, but for that price I do not hesitate to recommend it anyway. As mentioned earlier Korea’s fantastic electropop act EE is there, with a quirky number called Talk To Them. There’s also an unusual Asobi Seksu song (Celeste), some lovely harmonies from Spain’s Boat Beam (Shadow Pool), sweetness from Indonesia’s Mocca (Bundle of Joy), delicious twee from Hong Kong’s The Marshmallow Kisses (Mercy mercy, to my melancholic life journey), and much much more.

Courtesy of Buffetlibre, here’s a couple of songs from names new to me that I’ve already come to like plenty:
Peter von Poehl – To The Golden Rose (folky singer/songwriter goodness from Sweden)
Plushgun – Mixtapes (dreamy electroacoustic material out of the US)
And if you’re in the mood for another video, Swedish indie pop collective I’m From Barcelona has covered Au Revoir Simone for PEACE: Anywhere You Looked.
